The dream began in 2002, when Harry and Lisa Rodriguez began to explore Puerto Rico and its beach communities, searching for a great oceanfront spot in a special community, in their quest for a new casual lifestyle. Their discovery of Rincon with its great beaches for swimming and surfing, beautiful sunsets, and a community of sophisticated Puerto Ricans, ex-pats, and academics from UPR Mayaguez, made for the perfect spot to settle down and open their Inn.
The Sea Beach House they originally purchased in 2003 was gutted, redesigned, and nearly tripled in size to create the Inn as it exists today, which opened in 2004. Also added were a pool, jacuzzi, and tropical gardens.
Harry, your fun-loving host, is a former media executive who left his suits behind to tend our gardens, pool and grounds. He's become an avid kayaker and fitness enthusiast. Lisa, who cooks the delicious daily breakfasts and helps plan the guests' day, is known to escape in the afternoon to paint in her studio.
Tres Sirenas is named for Harry & Lisa’s three grown daughters, all “Mermaids” at heart, who also love our beach and spend as much time with us as possible.
At Tres Sirenas Beachfront Inn, you'll also find Taino, our chocolate lab who loves the water, entertaining the guests with his follies and games of fetch. Newman, our Daschund, pretty much keeps to himself in our residence, occasionally finding his way to the beach to dig for crabs.
